I would like to share the excitement of two Culver High School seniors who have been awarded a much desired scholarship. These two students are recipients of the Ford Family Scholarship which will cover a large portion of their expenses in their undergraduate studies. Congratulations to Leslie Alvarado & Jorge Olivera.

While attending Culver High School, Leslie participated in sports such as played basketball all four years and soccer for three years. She was part of Juntos and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). During her senior year in high school, she served as the student body president and has been on the student council for three years. Leslie will be attending Oregon State University and pursue a major in Political Science.

While attending Culver High School, Jorge was a four-year all league football player, four-time varsity wrestler and three-time wrestling state champion. Jorge was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in Juntos. Jorge will be attending Oregon State University and pursue a degree in Civil Engineering.

This is only a brief summary of the many things that these two students accomplished while in High School. Each one carries a personal story as every student graduating. They were fortunate to be selected and are very excited to become part of the Ford Family as scholars and accomplish one of their many goals in life.
