About Juntos and the Club

Hello! I'm Emily Chavez-Romero, your Juntos Coordinator in Deschutes County. As a daughter of immigrants and the first in my family to pursue higher education, I understand the challenges and opportunities before us. I am here to support you as you build your path to college and make sure you have the resources and support you need to succeed. I can help students and families with topics including:

Mentoring, clubs, and support for high school students
Graduation support and post-graduation planning
College applications and exploring college options
Transferring from community college to a university
Multicultural resources and programming in English/Spanish

This is where our Juntos Club is focused, as a new club at Ridgeview we will be looking for student's to be a part of our leadership team. I look forward to meeting you all!

In the promotion of the Juntos program, Oregon State University publishes materials which could include names, images (photos), or audiovisual content of the program participants. This includes, but is not limited to, flyers, student profiles, presentations, videos, newsletters, social media accounts, and/or the Open Campus website.

Without your permission, Juntos will not utilize the name and/or image of your student in promotional materials, unless the student is 18 years or older and gives consent. This authorization is continuous and may only be nullified with your petition.
