During our March 24 self-led activity time (2:30-4pm), or before/after your time at the convening, please take advantage of some unique additional Oregon activities!

  • Take a self-guided tour of our Oregon State University campus! Download our free self-guided tour app to tour campus on your own! The app features our very own student TOUR Ambassadors who have recorded audio for each tour stop.

Oregon Coast (Newport area, about one hour away):
Willamette Valley:
  • Silver Falls State Park: Known as the “crown jewel” of the Oregon State Parks system featuring numerous trails, waterfalls, and scenery.
  • Riverfront Park: Located along the Willamette River in Salem.
  • Minto-Brown Island Park: 29 miles of trails in Salem. This park also serves as a waterfowl and wildlife sanctuary, which you can enjoy from the observation platforms along the sloughs. Blue herons, ospreys, squirrels, and rabbits are among the many different wetland creatures that call this park home.
  • McDowell Creek Falls: Beautiful vistas of Royal Terrace and Majestic Falls viewed from bridges and viewing decks along 3 miles of hiking trails in Lebanon.
  • Tax-free shopping at the Woodburn Outlet Mall.

  • Multnomah Falls: Oregon’s tallest waterfall (two hours away from Corvallis, 50 minutes from Portland)
  • Columbia River Gorge: The largest National Scenic Area with stunning views, waterfalls, and scenery (two hours away from Corvallis, 34 minutes from Portland)
