Open Campus works with high school students to promote college and career access, as well as mental health support. To prepare students for success in their future, Open Campus offers a variety of programs and support, including college access, Juntos, Juntos Afuera, Chemistry Camp, career exploration days, and advising.
Building a path to college requires planning and support, which is why Open Campus is here to guide students throughout their education journey. College Access programs include Future Pathways, College Talk Tuesdays, Open Campus Hangouts, and College Access Summer Melt. Programs offer resources, mentoring, and advising to guide students throughout their college journey from high school through college graduation.
Open Campus believes in the power of providing tools and resources that will help students and job seekers achieve their long-term goals. From career exploration events to industry-specific career snapshots, we strive to provide job skills, opportunities, and pathways to our community. Our coordinators can also help with internships, resumés and cover letter guidance, trade school access, and connections to resources.
We work with high school students around the state to support them on their journey to college. Our team also supports current college students, including community college students who want to transfer.
Various statewide Coordinators partner with organizations to offer immersive career exploration days, such as Diagnosis Day in Central Oregon and Rural Health Career Day in Grant County, to explore health care careers, and chemistry STEM camps in Yamhill County.
Juntos (meaning “together” in Spanish) is designed to empower high school students and their parents to gain the knowledge, skills, and resources needed for academic success while working together to make college a family goal. Uniting with community partners, Juntos provides programming for 6-12th grade students and their parents.
Through texts, we share college scholarship opportunities, scholarship application tips, and more to students and parents! Learn about scholarship application tips and tricks, notices of upcoming scholarships, scholarship essay hints, where to locate scholarships, and more!
We provide support for students before, during, and after the process of transferring from a community college to OSU or another university. We can help with selecting community college courses that transfer into your major, finding ways to pay for college, and helping you feel at home at college.
Open Campus and Juntos provide local access to education through community-based partnerships and unique programming, meeting needs of the Oregon communities
