Open Campus and Juntos History

The Open Campus pilot launched in late 2009 in Crook and Tillamook Counties to address unmet needs in communities, and to further advance the land grant mission of Oregon State University through new educational partnerships and programs. We are proud to say that Open Campus and Juntos is a fully supported program area within the OSU Extension Service.

What began as an expanded way for communities to access the university’s resources, has grown into a dynamic and unique community-based program, impacting students and adult learners of all ages. Through a statewide network of Open Campus and Juntos Coordinators, Open Campus has had the privilege of partnering with community colleges, regional economic development groups, K-12 education systems, universities, businesses, community organizations, and local government to serve and support all Oregonians.
